This afternoon my granddaughter and I did art together. She is six and we had lots of fun playing with my supplies together. She did several drawings but took all but one home so I thought I'd share it with you along with mine

I've been wanting to make an art journal for a while, so I did. I found a video on YouTube about how to make an art journal using manilla file folders.

lazy blogger

It's been a while since I posted so I thought I'd share some of the newest stuff in my etsy store. I've been working 4-5 days a week creating new merchandise. This week I am going to focus on holiday gifts.

I've been a little busy trying to organize my work space. I just can't seem to get it organized just right so I can find what I need.

I can't believe Christmas is almost here, seems like this year has gone by so quick. But that is OK because this year has been totally crazy.

Oh I almost forgot about my exciting news! My daughter and son-in-law are having a baby in late spring!! Allison is excited about being a big sister. She is super cute now because both her top front teeth are missing.

Saw this on a store sign and thought it was sort of funny;
would a fly without wings be a walk. OK it's corny but it caught my eye while I was driving by.

With working so much on my store, I haven't had a lot of time to play but here are a few new ATCs for trade. If you make ATCs email me if you'd like to trade.

Settling in and new stuff in my Etsy store

I am pretty much settled in my apartment but need to figure out a new organizing system for my crafting supplies. Right now everything is so disorganized I can't stand it.
Anyway, I did get back to work creating new merchandise for my Etsy store. Here are a few new things.

finally moved

I finally got moved into my apartment but I have a problem, too much papercrafting stuff. I guess that means I need to get creating and put some things in my etsy shop.

short update

I still waiting for an apartment to open in the building where I would like to live. There is supposed to be one ready in a couple weeks. All my crafting stuff except my drawing pens are packed and in the garage. Needless to say I haven't created anything new in over a month. I can't trade ATCs because they are all packed and I can't list anything on Etsy or Ebay for the same reason. I planned on improving my drawing skills but haven't touched any of that either. I have been doing a lot of reading. I bought a Kindle early this month, I really like it but still like to read the paper books better. It is nice because it fits in my purse so there is less chance of me loosing it than a paper book. I have a Bible on it so now if I don't have something to read I can read my Bible. I also have some reference books to use for Bible study. I think that is the kind of books I will buy for the Kindle. Well that is about all I can think of to say so until next time, God bless.

more doodling

I drew these this morning. Since I am moving and don't have a place yet, my scrapbooking stuff will be packed until I do find a place. I've decided I will use this time to sharpen my drawing skills.

Moving

I've decided to sell my house and move into an apartment downtown. My house is too big for me and it is so hard to get someone to take care of the yard and repairs. I figure in an apartment I won't have to worry about those things. So that is all good but, the bad part is that I will have to do some major downsizing. I live in a fully furnished nine room house. My apartment will be only 4 rooms. Yikes! That is a lot of stuff to get rid of. I am getting a Scrap Box for most of my paper crafting supplies. It should hold most of my stuff except the stamps, punches, cutters and such. I am excited thinking about only have to clean a tiny apartment sure does sound good. Oh another bad thing, I will have to give away my two dogs. One is about 14yrs. I am hoping my daughter will keep her. They are buying the house and I think moving her would be to upset her. My other dog is a 18mo old shiatsu it should not be a problem to find him a new home.
With all the excitement over the house I have not created a thing this week. I am working on some new patterns for the Paper Crafting Diva design studio site but I doubt I'll get much done before the move. Until next time God bless

Busy busy busy...

I am working on a new project. So far it is turning out to be really cute. It is a purse that will contain a mini scrapbook. I am using Graphic45 papers, they are my new favorites. I've put some handmade flowers and a cameo pendant on the left side and layers of old buttons on the right. The center frame is boardered with a braided trim. There is also a little bling in the corners. I used a feather boa to embellish the top of the purse and finished it off with a beaded handle. So here it is, what do you think?

Rain, rain go away...

I can't believe April is almost over, Easter is tomorrow. Too cold and muddy for an egg hunt outside this year. I am so tired of the rain. It's supposed to rain every day this week too. Rain and fibromyalgia are not a good mix. My youngest brother is getting married tomorrow too. It's about time they have five kids and another on the way. I am so happy they will finally be right with God in that respect.
I am making a scrapbook for my son Chris and his bride Tiffani. I've only have one layout finished, mostly because I spend more time talking with my friends than working on the layout. I have some new ATCs to share too. I will try to get them scanned this week.

I've had a lot of things going on in March so I didn't really get too much artwork done. My son Chris got married on March 5 and I had surgery on March 8. Yesterday I made 20 ATCs, I uploaded them along with the few I did manage to make in March. All the ATCs are available for trade. I've also added some wedding pictures for you to enjoy.
